Backups

Backups are important to secure your data in case of any problems.

We take security very serious and backups are part of availabilty of services.

Hourly backups of your data

We backup your data hourly. This ensures that in worst case you would loose one hour of work. Of course we do our best that this will never occur but it’s good to know that measures have been taken to secure your data.

Daily server backups

The servers have daily backups. Besides the hourly backups of your data, the complete server has daily backups.

Manual data exports and backups

You can export all of your data manually whenever you want using the data export function in the settings. This allows you to have backups of your data locally.

Restoring data

As we provide software as a service it’s easy for us to restore your data. In case a server crashes completely, we would setup the server using an image. This takes a few minutes. Next we restore the instances running on the server, which as well would take a few minutes. In this case all instances would be updated to the last software version, but as our software is always backwards compatible, this can be seen as advantage.

After these steps we would restore the databases. With the backup data this again is a matter of minutes.

We guarantee to bring back all servers within 4 hours but normally this process should be finished within less than one hour as most tasks are completed be automated scripts.
